Coming Soon: A Military Theme Park?

This article at the KSDK Channel 5 web site, Coming Soon: A Military Theme Park?, is interesting for sure. A development company in Florida is basically pushing the concept of a theme park to the Army. This bid is for all appearances unsolicited by the Army but it doesn't appear they are actually against the idea.

To quote the article:
"You can command the latest M-1 tank, feel the rush of a paratrooper freefall, fly a Cobra Gunship or defend your B-17 as a waist gunner," according to the proposal, which was obtained by The Washington Post.

I have visions of little boys and girls running around obstacle course, and parents encouraged to yell orders to them. Squir gun cannons, lots of fake explosions, and perhaps a fun little mine field exhibit. Oh yeah, let's not forget The Field Strip Tommy house, where the children can learn to take apart and reassemble models of various Army regulation guns!

Oh, the fun would never stop.

Yours with a laugh,
Tojosan
