Because of said pictures, a couple folks I know have classified my general body of work, as published on Flickr, as "abstract." I'm not sure how to take that.
Is being abstract a compliment? Or is it some secret code for saying the pictures have no life. Are my photographs perhaps difficult to grasp in some way? Hard to get one's head around?
So in that light, I've taken a quick look back through my stream, and pondering if some of my stuff is too abstract. Wondering if people can only relate to pictures of other people, and have a hard time liking a picture of food, or of a pinwheel, or something so mundane as window in the ceiling.
What will I do with this new viewpoint to consider? Will it influence my picture taking in the long term? In the short? Or not at all.
Check now and check back later and see for yourself; that's what I'll be doing.
