My wife is a baseball fan and really behind the rally for the Cardinals. Tonight is hopefully the last game of the World Series. Go Cards!

My wife took time out to photograph her new Cardinals gear and put it up on Flickr. The neatest thing is she got on the Mac, used the Photobooth application. She then brought the photo into iPhoto and from there uploaded it Flickr via Flickr Uploader. All of this without any assistance or advice. Woot!

School Bans 'Captain Underpants' Costumes

So can you say underpants at work? Well apparently you can't wear them at this highschool, at least not on the outside.

The school hosted a Superhero Day, in lieu of Halloween costumes. Three 17 year old girls, one an honor student, came dressed as Captain Underpants. The costumes were beigne leotards, nude stockings, red capes, and white briefs. I'd have laughed my tail off seeing that.

Principal Restivo didn't approve of their appearance of nakedness and sent them home. And I suppose the other underwear clad superheros got by because their's were bright colors?

Oh well, the insanity in our world continues..and oh yeah, one more thing, what is the world coming to when the best costumed superhero these three could find was a children's learning-to-potty book character.

So it's finally happenning, we are moving sex ed down to kindergarten. Is the world titling the other way on its axis or what? Is it really necessary?

Just reading the statistics in this article you might be very convinced. But is the solution for our schools to do a better job or should someone else be on the hook for this education?

Perhaps parents and other family members? Where you are being giving a loving and nurturing perspective?

I so have to get me one of these. And, oh, there are soooo many civilian applications, like for perhaps, um, oh. Darn, can't think of anything I'd like to be invisible.

Now for privacy though, I can so see this being of value, but what I see more likely is that they put this to military use first.

The park is just across the highway to the south from the St. Louis Zoo. Great place to bring the kids or yourself for a few moments of fun.

I just realized what this is supposed to represent, an altar. Yes, an altar in the mall. It's an altar to materialism. More than one person has stood at the foot of this altar and rested, looked up and been captured by the glow and massiveness of it. This is the stuff that idols are made of, an external and vivid presence. Only their physicalness allows them any impression at all.
